Forensic Technology by Wu is Invention of the Year Finalist

Min Wu, professor of electrical and computer engineering with appointments in UMIACS and the Maryland Cybersecurity Center, is a finalist in the annual Invention of the Year competition coordinated by the university’s Office of Technology Commercialization.

Wu along with her research assistants, Adi Hajj-Ahmad and Hui Su, identified a method to extract Electrical Network Frequency (ENF) signals from videos recordings of complex and realistic scenarios to verify the source of video streams, offering possibilities for a variety of security and forensic applications.
