Deon Viergutz currently serves as the Vice President of Cyber Solutions at Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions. Previously, he served as the Director of Operations and also led the Analytics & Data Acquisition Division within the Cyber Solutions line of business. From 2006 through 2008, Viergutz held a position in Strategy and Analysis for Lockheed Martin Corporation. In his role, he supported strategy initiatives for the company with emphasis on logistics and sustainment, information technology, and homeland security.
From 2000 through 2006, Deon held various leadership positions in Lockheed Martin, including Deputy Program Director for the US DRIS 2010 Census program, Director of Engineering, and Program Manager for the 2001 United Kingdom Census.
Viergutz began his professional career with Loral Space and Range Company in 1992 in Sunnyvale, California, providing operations and maintenance support for the Air Force Satellite Control Network. Following a merger in 1996, he later moved to Santa Maria, California, Vandenberg AFB as the Logistics and Sustainment Manager. Currently, Viergutz serves on the board of directors as the immediate past president of the Fort Meade Alliance and president of the Fort Meade Alliance Foundation. Viergutz served as the Fort Meade Alliance President from 2012–2015. He also serves as the Lockheed Martin liaison for the National Security Scholarship Program.
Viergutz earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of La Verne, California, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, University College. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1989-1992.
